What You Need

Valid U.K. Registration
Earn your U.S. license quickly and easily, elevating your career opportunities and professional recognition.

Part 1, 2, and 3 Education Qualifications
Only ARB-accredited qualifications issued by schools of architecture in the U.K. are currently allowed under this agreement.

Right to Work
It’s your responsibility to ensure you have the right to work (such as a work visa) in the U.S. before taking on projects.
Licensure in the U.S.
Keep in mind: Each U.S. state and territory issues its own license—there is no national license to practice architecture in the U.S.
Check with the state where you want to be licensed to make sure they accept reciprocity through this path.

“Without the MRA, my route to becoming an architect in the U.S. would have taken much longer. … The MRA allows me to pick up my career from where I left off.”
